Are we complicit?

Neoliberalism is a crushing wave
A paradigm too sunken to shake
Spreading to every crevice of our lives
It’s adaptive nature gripped to any context
A rotting core masked by gold plating
Falsified promises and undying hopes
To resist is to swim against the tide
A struggle and a fight you’re left tired
Ridden with constant contradictions
There’s no vaccination for consumer compulsion
Just sedation from the truth
There is no ethical consumption
Small acts are not enough
You find yourself sinking
It’s easier to be unconscious and let capitalism drown you
Live in the bubble of ignorance
